Genevieve, a beautiful Parisian girl, leaves for the country to claim an inheritance left to her by her aunt. She enters the wrong room in her hotel and finds a young man, Renaud, trying to commit suicide. Genevieve calls the hotel porter for help and together, they calm the man down. Afterwards he is determined to repay her for saving his life. A series of adventures follow, at the end of which, Renaud proposes to Genevieve.
